Problem: TV Box Ethernet Connection Not Working
This article provides diagnostic and troubleshooting steps when the TVCABO TV Box (VIV Mais) cannot connect to the network via Ethernet cable.
Symptoms: TV Box does not display TV signal or shows network connection error
The network/Ethernet LED on the Box is off or flashing amber
The message “No network connection” or “No Internet” appears on the screen
VIV Mais TV service channels do not load
Step 1: Check the Ethernet cable
Confirm that the Ethernet cable (RJ45) is firmly connected to both the LAN port on the TV Box and the LAN port on the TVCABO router/modem.
Check that the cable does not have any visible damage (sharp bends, cuts, or broken connectors).
If possible, replace the Ethernet cable with another Cat5e or Cat6 cable to rule out the possibility of a faulty cable.
Ensure that the cable is connected to a LAN port on the router and not the WAN port.
Step 2: Restart the equipment
Unplug the TV Box from the power outlet.
Unplug the TVCABO router/modem from the power outlet.
Wait 30 seconds.
Turn on the router/modem first and wait for all LEDs to stabilize (approximately 2 minutes).
Turn on the TV Box and wait for it to fully initialize.
Verify that the Ethernet LED on the Box lights up solid green, indicating an established connection.
Step 3: Test the router's LAN port
Try connecting the Ethernet cable to a different LAN port on the TVCABO router.
If available, connect a computer with the same cable and port to check if the router port is functional.
If no LAN port works, the router may need replacing — contact TVCABO support.
Step 4: Check the Box's network settings
Go to the Settings > Network menu on the TV Box using the remote control.
Confirm that the connection is configured as Ethernet/Wired (not Wi-Fi).
If the problem persists please contact our support department to check the issue further.
